The Baltimore Ravens dealt with a scary situation on Wednesday morning, as star tight end Mark Andrews was reportedly involved in a car accident on his way to the training facility for practice.

According to the team, Andrews was checked out by the medical staff and, thankfully, did not sustain any serious injuries in the accident. He was able to join the team for their meetings on Wednesday morning in Baltimore.

"I appreciate everyone's thoughts and well wishes," Andrews wrote in a statement. "This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts, and remaining alert while driving a car."

While Andrews was not scheduled to practice on Wednesday for body maintenance, he is expected to return to practice with the team later this week.

Going into the 2024 season, Andrews is expected to be one of the biggest pieces of Baltimore's offense, acting as arguably the No. 1 target for quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens also added former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henrey through free agency this offseason, so the trio has high expectations going into the year.
