NBA Insider Completely Nukes Idea Of A LeBron James-Steph Curry Pairing

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, basketball fans were spoiled by arguably one of the greatest pairings in the history of the game. For the first time ever, LeBron James and Stephen Curry teamed up on the same squad -- at the Olympic stage, no less.

Now that that run has ended with a gold medal for Team USA, the fans have understandably been craving for more LeBron-Steph action. This is what has led to the growing buzz surrounding a potential NBA team-up between these two future Hall of Famers somewhere down the road.

According to an anonymous NBA insider, however, this prospect will forever remain a pipe dream.

“Did (unnamed TV analyst) really say something about LeBron and Steph teaming up someday?" said the source, per NBA guru Sam Amico. " That will never happen . In fact, they will never be on the same team again. Cool Olympic run for sure. But those two as teammates is over for all eternity.”

Fans and pundits alike have been fantasizing about a potential blockbuster trade that would land these two superstars on the same team -- a deal that the Golden State Warriors reportedly attempted to work on prior to last season's trade deadline.

At this point, however, time is running out for these two. James is turning 40 this season, while Curry is now 36. It's only a matter of time before both of them call it quits.

The consolation here for the fans is that at least we will forever have that incredible 2024 Olympics gold medal run to cling to.
