On Wednesday, August 14, NBA2K provided fans their first look at Chicago Sky rookie sensation Angel Reese as she is set to make her video game debut, which will be released on September 6, 2024.

It has been nearly a month since WNBA fans have gotten to see Reese take the floor for her Chicago Sky squad, so as you could imagine they were pretty pumped to see her in video game form. The last time we saw her suit up for the Sky, she dropped 13 points and 10 rebounds in a win over the back-to-back champion Las Vegas Aces. She then played in the WNBA All-Star Game against Team USA on July 20 for the 2024 Paris Olympics, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 boards.

Now they get to see her in virtual form, and they are absolutely loving the details that went into her video game self.

"damn this spot on ngl," wrote one fan while another added , "this is actually really good".

One Chicago Sky fan page revealed just how pleased they were with the accuracy writing , "They actually did our girl right 💅🏽".

The next big reveal for Reese and fellow WNBA stars will be their presumably controversial rankings.

As for real basketball, Reese took to the app formerly known as Twitter to make sure fans knew that there was just one more night until she and the Sky took the floor.

"1 more sleep and we backkkk SKY FANS🥳😇🩵💛," Reese wrote .

Chicago, who is currently the No. 8 seed in the playoff standings, will welcome the No. 6 seed Phoenix Mercury to town. While Phoenix is just 13-12 on the year, they do have a total of four Olympians ready to keep their momentum going. Three of the Olympians were representing Team USA, who won the gold as Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and Kahleah Copper were all donning the Red, White, and Blue.

As for Reese, she will look to add to her Rookie of the Year push, as FanDuel lists her as the only challenger to Clark.

According to ESPN's matchup predictor, Reese and the Sky have a 58.3% chance of winning the Thursday night showdown. The game is set to be on Prime Video and Mercury Live.
