The second half of the WNBA season is about to begin after a long layoff. The games resume on Thursday and fans can't wait to see them back on the court.

Ahead of the return of the WNBA, ESPN dropped a list ranking the top 25 players at midseason. A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart were No. 1 and 2 on the list, respectively, which is not a surprise.

The last two players on the list were Chennedy Carter and Kelsey Mitchell. However, Carter, the Chicago Sky star, did not take too kindly to her low ranking and made her feelings known.

Carter took a screenshot of the list and posted it on Instagram with a caption that reads, "How I average less minutes and my stats top in the league?? but I am at the BOTTOM this list adding up the hate be so obvious. F/G percentage as well."

It's a strong statement from Carter, but her spot being this low is a bit puzzling.

Carter has been the leading scorer for the Sky this season, averaging 17.2 PPG with 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in just 25.1 minutes.

Carter is 13th in the WNBA in points per game, ahead of DeWonna Bonner, Caitlin Clark, Kayla McBride and her own teammate Angel Reese, all of whom are ranked ahead of her.

Carter is also 10th in the WNBA in field goal percentage with a 51.8 percent clip, yet she is No. 24 on the list.

The Sky enter the second half of the season with a 10-14 record and host the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday to kick things off. After Carter's low ranking, she could be even more motivated.
