Commanders Offense 'Has More Electricity' With Jayden Daniels

As the old saying goes, keep the audience wanting more, and after just one offensive series, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels had fans wanting more.
After completing two of his three passes for 45 yards before finishing the drive with his legs for a three-yard score, the Commanders fans saw what the offense could look like with Daniels at the wheel.
While it was only one series and in the preseason, it only further adds hope to the 2024 season, with Washington perhaps no longer being the pushovers they once were.
For CBS Sports, the offense with Daniels has more electricity.
"The offense has more electricity," CBS Sports wrote . "Jayden Daniels got just a single drive, of course, but he used both his arm and legs to move Washington all the way down the field, sealing the deal with a scoring run. There's reason for Commanders fans to put hope in this new-look attack."
August 10, 2024: Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels celebrates his first touchdown with center Tyler Biadasz in a 20-17 loss to the New York Jets.
USA TODAY
While things won't always be as smooth as Daniels' first drive against the Jets, the fact that he can overthrow his first pass before hitting the next two and capping the drive off with a rushing touchdown surely has to give fans pure excitement for the regular season to begin.
Of course, there will be ups and downs as every rookie deals with the trials and tribulations of NFL football in year one; Daniels does have a good supporting cast around him.
Austin Ekeler (two carries, seven yards), Brian Robinson Jr. (five carries, 20 yards), Ben Sinnott (3 rec, 57 yards), Dyami Brown (2 rec, 55 yards), and Luke McCaffrey (2 rec, 25 yards) all showed they could be valuable members of Kliff Kingsbury's offense.
But the star of the show is Daniels, and with his dual-threat play-making ability, there will be electricity everywhere on offense for Washington in 2024.
And that is the polar opposite of what fans have dealt with over the last decade.
