Imagine Stephen Curry not shooting nearly 10 three-point shots per game. You probably can't. However, Curry wasn't as bulletproof before the NBA championships and the the unanimous MVP. In 2014, NBA analyst and writer Tom Haberstroh suggested that Curry needs to shoot 10 three-point shots per game.

To the current fan's dismay, media members and many people in the NBA universe thought the idea as rediculous  However, the next season, Curry averaged 11.2 attempts from deep. Since the Warriors coaching staff went bluetooth with Curry, the franchise hasn't seen any years of disappointment.

Since 2015, the four-time NBA champion hasn't recorded less than four three-point conversons sans the 2019-20 season. To put it in perspective, Curry only played five games in the 2019-20 season, as he occured a season-ending injury.

While Haberstroh is not responsible for the three-point renaissance, he definitely saw the future of the NBA and understood the all-time ability Curry possesed.

"I demanded that Steph Curry take ten three pointers in a game and people thought I was BONKERS!" Haberstroh stated on Meadowlark's Oddball basketball show.

Haberstroh also claimed the NBA should eliminate the charge rule as well as the foul-out rule. Although Haberstroh shouldn;t quit his day job anytime soon, the vision he had for Curry was on the money.

Curry is currently fourth in three-point percentage for active players at .426 percent and led the league in three-point conversions in eight seasons. Finally, Curry is the NBA's all-time leader in made three-point shots with 3747. It's safe to say Curry made the right decision in increasing his three-point shot portfolio.
