    Super Bowl Champion DB Could Make A Comeback With Eagles

    A Jalen Mills reunion might be brewing in the City of Brotherly Love.

    The former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back was released by the New York Giants on Thursday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter . Mills has been on the non-football injury list since the beginning of training camp and will test the free agency market.

    After not practicing for the Giants since his arrival in March, Mills' calf injury appears to be in the rearview. He's likely to garner interest from a number of NFL teams in need of secondary help, but there's a chance that the 30-year-old could be eyeing the Eagles.

    Mills, a former seventh-round pick in 2016, built himself into a key defensive figure during the Eagles' Super Bowl LII run. He recorded five interceptions, one touchdown, and 227 tackles in five seasons, before eventually joining the New England Patriots.

    The Eagles are in title mode once again. They are in a situation where the veteran depth could make an impact similar to what they found during their first Super Bowl campaign. General manager Howie Roseman is known for such moves, and it would be hugely beneficial as the team begins developing their young secondary assets.
