What Does Corey Davis, Bills Workout Means Toward Keon Coleman?

When a team is working out a player at a specific position, it's usually a sign of the organization not being pleased with how the depth or starters look at this point in training camp.

So when the Buffalo Bills worked out former fifth-overall pick Corey Davis on Wednesday, the belief by many was that the organization was still looking for some help at wide receiver.

In that regard, does that mean the team isn't too pleased with what they have seen from second-round rookie Keon Coleman?

Josh Allen has gone out of his way to compliment the Florida State product throughout camp and the team appears ready to give him a starting role right away in 2024.

But with each player signed or trying out with the team at receiver, the more likely it is that the Bills recognize that they will need more than what Coleman has put on the field if they are to continue to compete for a championship.

It's also important to remember that Davis has roughly the same skill set as a 6-3 receiver with good downfield speed and an ability to go up and get contested passes in the air.

The Bills may say they are high on Coleman to this point, but that doesn't mean they are comfortable enough with him to be the team's top receiving choice in 2024.
