The Texas A&M Aggies are set to begin their 2024 campaign in just over two weeks when they take the field against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on August 31 .

While there was a significant amount of turnover on the roster on both sides of the ball, one of the harder hit groups was the wide receiver position, with the Aggies losing two of their top three pass catchers from last season.

Ainias Smith , the leading receiver in 2023, entered the NFL Draft while Evan Stewart entered the transfer portal and ended up at Oregon . Despite the losses, one writer is bullish on what the group has remaining in the room. Luke White of the Dallas Morning News wrote in his ' five bold predictions ' article that he believes Texas A&M will have a First-Team All-SEC wide receiver.

"A&M boasts depth at the wide receiver position, headlined by the trio of junior Noah Thomas, senior Jahdae Walker and graduate Moose Muhammad III. The three combined for nine touchdowns and 91 catches last season," White wrote . "Each ought to take a step up this year with a healthier, more experienced Weigman under center and a fresh face calling plays in offensive coordinator Collin Klein. Beyond those three, the Aggies added a number of fresh faces through the transfer portal in Louisiana Tech junior Cyrus Allen, Iowa sophomore Jacob Bostick and Troy senior Jabre Barber."

Walker was the second leading receiver last season and appears poised to take the next step along with Thomas, meanwhile the always reliable Muhammad III will play a key factor as well.

Exactly what impact the new additions make along with players who were already in the building will be fascinating to see.
