Can't-Miss Knicks Games
By Lance Roberson,
The New York Knicks don't struggle for nationally televised games as a large-market team. During the unsuccessful period, NBA officials blessed the New York franchise with multiple Christmas games. However, on the heels of a relatively successful NBA playoffs, the offseason launched the Knicks into legitimate Eastern Conference contenders. With the 2024-25 season schedule released, All Knicks takes a peek at the top nationally televised games.
Oct. 22 at Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics finally shattered the glass ceiling as their Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum duo lived up to the hype surrounding the two wings by winning the 2024 NBA championship in a 4-1 Finals victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics 2024 championship campaign represents for which the Knicks strive.
Similar to the Celtics, the Knicks possess legitimate OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart as wing defenders. The opening game of the 2024-25 season starts at 7:30 PM Eastern Time on TNT.

Oct. 25 vs. Indiana Pacers
The Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers at home in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Despite losing, the Tyrese Haliburton-led Pacers reignited a special rivalry from the 1990s. Although the Knicks and Pacers won't battle on Christmas, the second game on the Knicks' schedule sees Jalen Brunson host the Pacers at the Madison Square Garden.
Unfortunately, it's an ESPN game, so Reggie Miller is not on the call. The game starts at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
Nov. 12 at Philadelphia 76ers
The Emirates NBA Cup is definitely a better-sounding title than what the league provided last season. The Knicks' group play starts with a bang as Tom Thibodeau and company head into enemy territory. While the Pacers and Knicks series went to seven games, the first-round series vs. the Philadelphia 76ers had more memorable moments for both parties.
The 76ers and Kings will create a playoff atmosphere, which bodes well for the TNT audience. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
Dec. 25 vs. San Antonio Spurs.
The prominent connection between the San Antonio Spurs and the Knicks is the 1999 NBA Finals. In a lockout-shortened season, New York clinched a Finals spot as an eight-seed, with the Spurs making it a legitimate one-seed. Aside from that, the two teams couldn't be run any differently.
However, regarding entertainment value, the Spurs harbor one of the most intriguing young stars in the NBA, and he's not happy. Following France's loss to Team USA, Victor Wembanyama stated he's "worried for his opponents" after winning silver in the Olympics. Such a motivation will fare well in Madison Square Garden. The Knicks host the revenge-filled Spurs star on ESPN on Christmas at 12 PM Eastern Time.
