WATCH: Eagles Avonte Maddux End Zone INT Stops Patriots

The Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots traded punts on their first two drives in Thursday night's Preseason Week 2 meeting.

And then ... A 15-yard return from Jalen Reagor set the Patriots up at the Eagles 39-yard line.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett led the Patriots down to the Eagles 8-yard line. On 3rd-and-3, Brissett dropped backed to pass and unleashed a toss into the end zone.  Eagles safety Avonte Maddox jumped in front of the pass and rambled out to the Eagles 47-yard line before going out of bounds.

The Eagles took over following the big return.

Maddox is battling for snaps on the roster playing multiple positions including cornerback, nickel, and safety.  A play like this certainly won't hurt his chances moving forward.

The Eagles lead the Patriots 3-0 in the first quarter.
