WATCH: Twins’ Kyle Farmer hits Little League home run against Rangers

The Minnesota Twins got off to a rough start in Thursday night’s game at the Texas Rangers but got back into it in unique fashion.

After the Rangers scored twice in the first off Bailey Ober to jump out to an early lead, Twins shortstop Willi Castro led off the second inning with a home run to left. But that’s not where the fun stopped.

The next batter, second baseman Kyle Farmer, made it back-to-back homers... kinda. Check it out.

The play was initially ruled a triple with an error on the center fielder — a Little League home run — instead of an inside-the-park homer, but the run counts the same for the Twins.

Minnesota entered the day 4.5 games behind Cleveland in the division but still firmly in the second wild card spot. However, the Rangers are 3-7 over their last 10 games so the four-game series presents the Twins an opportunity to gain some ground in the division as Cleveland deals with a pair of division-leaders in the Brewers and Yankees over the next week.
