The stars showed out for the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday at the Target Center in Minneapolis as they hosted the Washington Mystics in their first game back since the Olympic break.

The Lynx did not disappoint as they took down the Mystics, 79-68, with Napheesa Collier, who is fresh off a gold-medal win in Paris with Team USA, leading the charge with a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double.

One of the stars who enjoyed the show was none other than Edina, Minnesota native Paige Bueckers, who will be entering her fourth year with UConn this coming season.

The Lynx made sure to give the former AP Player of the Year a special shoutout during the broadcast as they acknowledged her presence.

"Minnesota legend in the house. 🏠" the Lynx posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Bueckers has deep ties with Minnesota after leading Hopkins High School in Minnetonka to multiple state championships. However, some fans were not entirely prepared to dub her a "Minnesota legend."

"Legend of what?" asked a supporter.

"That doesn’t look like Suni to me," remarked a fan, in reference to Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, who hails from Saint Paul, Minnesota.

    "Funny, this doesn't look like @rachelbanham_1 . 😉#Lynx" read a comment.

"Maybe she should’ve been a gopher if we calling her a MN legend now 🤨" said another.

At the same time, however, a lot of other fans were more than excited to see Bueckers supporting the Lynx.

"Yesssssss!!! @paigebueckers1 at the Lynx Game!!!" reacted a supporter.

"can't wait to watch her play again, so excited for her!!" a fan wrote.

"I would commit several war crimes to make Paige a Lynx," said another.

"Lynx better do everything possible to get her," a comment read.

For what it's worth, Bueckers is expected to be the first overall pick of the upcoming 2025 WNBA Draft. At the moment, however, the Lynx are ranked third in the league with an 18-8 record, which means that their chances of winning the draft lottery are slim to none.

They could always go the trade route, though, which would definitely make more than a few Minnesota faithful extremely pleased.
