Utah fans are thrilled to have the opportunity to watch Cam Rising take the field this fall after a torn ACL sidelined his 2023 campaign. Rising has thrown for over 5,500 yards and 46 touchdowns with 14 interceptions in 27 career games for the Utes.

In ESPN's Top 100 rankings for the 2024 season, Rising was 53rd in the country. That placed him as the ninth-best quarterback in the country, behind Carson Beck (Georgia), Dillon Gabriel (Oregon), Jalen Milroe (Alabama), Quinn Ewers (Texas), Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), Jalon Daniels (Kansas), Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss), and Noah Fifita (Arizona).

Rising was the only Utah player represented in the Top 100, and as he enters his seventh season in college football, he'll be relied on as a critical leader for the Utes.

As Utah embarks on its first season in the Big 12, relying on a steadying presence at quarterback is critical to the team's success this fall.

Utah's season begins on August 29 with a home game against Southern Utah. It will be the first time we see Rising take the field since the Rose Bowl at the end of the 2022 season.
