The Kansas City Chiefs have a number of receivers not playing due to injury or other circumstances, so some other guys will have to step up.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon , he brings up one talking point for every NFL team. For the reigning Super Bowl champions, he brings up the fact that the Chiefs receiving depth will get a chance to prove themselves in the team's next preseason game against the Detroit Lions.

"Huge test coming for the Chiefs receiving depth Saturday against Detroit," Gagnon writes. "Hollywood Brown is out, and we obviously haven't seen much of first-rounder Xavier Worthy this summer. Both he and Justin Watson are coming off their own injuries. Big opportunities await those who want to earn significant reps with Patrick Mahomes."

Marquise Brown went down with a shoulder injury in the team's first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Rashee Rice still has some legal troubles to deal with. As a result, the team has a number of question marks on their offense.

The player that needs to step up big is rookie receiver Xavier Worthy, as he could be the key to the team weathering the storm. There have been some concerns with the young wide out's health, but he could make a huge impact for the team if he can stay healthy.
