Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever are finally back in action after a month-long 2024 Paris Olympics break.

They will face Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury on Friday night, marking their third matchup of the season. Phoenix is coming off a 20-point win on Thursday against the Chicago Sky.

Before the match, Fever coach Christie Sides partook in a pregame press conference where she revealed what she learned the most about her players over the break, including her biggest star.

"Probably the one thing that stuck out to me, Caitlin, as a rookie, came in and was just trying to figure it out," Sides said. "She kind of loosened up a little bit as you saw, and she's really funny. A really funny person. Quick wit. It's fun to banter with her a little bit when we're off the basketball court."

Sides then went on to mention what she learned about a couple of other players, including  Boston.

"Damiris Dantas was able to be around our team a lot during this practice time and she hadn't had that with them," Sides continued. "She kind of opened up, which was really awesome to see. Aliyah Boston is always a character, so she was really fun, and then her and Caitlin are very competitive, so they were always bantering with each other."

Dantas played her first game with the Fever on July 2 after recovering from an MCL injury a few months before.

The Fever will look to continue their playoff push, holding the seventh seed prior to the game against the Mercury. But regardless of the outcome, the Fever will still remain in the same spot in the standings for the time being.
