Ahead of the start of the 2024 college football season, ESPN dropped its top-100 rankings for the best players in the country. 17 quarterbacks were featured on the list, and Alabama's Jalen Milroe ranked third. Overall, Milroe ranked 22nd in the country in the top 100 list.

Milroe came on strong over the second half of last season as he gained confidence. He finished with just under 2,900 passing yards and 35 total touchdowns, including 23 passing and 12 rushing. Milroe's legs were a huge part of the Crimson Tide offense, as he ended the year with 531 rushing yards.

There's a lot to love about Milroe's profile, whether it's his game-breaking arm strength, ability to improvise and extend plays, or toughness in the pocket. As he prepares for his first year with a new head coach, former Washington coach Kalen DeBoer, Milroe could reach another level in his production.

Milroe has plenty to work on, including accuracy and timing over the middle of the field and decisiveness in making full-field progressions. If he can improve in those areas, he'll be in heavy consideration as one of the top quarterbacks off the board in next year's NFL Draft.
