    Preseason football at its finest.

Jordan Love was inactive. So were 30 of his teammates.

Sean Clifford fumbled the first snap of the game, which turned out to be an indicator of how the night would go.

The first half of the Green Bay Packers' preseason game against the Denver Broncos was as ugly as it could be.

The Packers trailed 17-0 at halftime and had fewer total yards (69) than the Broncos had penalty yards.

The result on the field was worse than what it sounded like.

Sean Clifford got the start and did little to inspire confidence that he could step in and move the ball against a starting defense.

While he was playing with mostly reserves, Clifford struggled. He finished the day 6-10 for less than 40 yards and an ugly interception that gave the Broncos another chance at points before the end of the half.

The second half started with some nice moments from Brenton Cox, Arron Mosby, and Kristian Welch.

Cox sacked Broncos' reserve quarterback Jarrett Stidham, which was a splash play he was likely looking for.

Mosby had back-to-back pressures, the second of which led to an interception for Kristian Welch.

Overall, however, the Packers did not perform well in any phase of the game.

The offense struggled throughout the course of the night. Both quarterbacks turned the ball over.

Clifford threw an ugly interception on what Matt LaFleur called a premier play.

Michael Pratt was strip-sacked late in the third quarter which led to three more points to the Broncos.

The depth of the offensive line struggled as well.

Travis Glover was promoted in front of Luke Tennuta and Caleb Jones, getting into the action before either player.

Both he and Kadeem Telfort, one of the three players in the swing tackle competition, struggled mightily.

If Pratt and Clifford were not getting sacked, they were under duress.

They struggled enough on their own, but the Broncos' defense was living in Green Bay's backfield.

This effort comes on the heels of a joint practice session on Friday that was thoroughly dominated by the Broncos as well.

LaFleur called that performance a wake-up call.

The effort for tonight's game was fine, but the playing field was uneven.

Despite that fact, tonight's dismal performance is going to give Matt LaFleur plenty to chew on as he gets his team back to Green Bay for the preseason finale against the Baltimore Ravens.
