Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark notched the WNBA's rookie record for the most assists in a single season, passing Ticha Penicheiro, who has held the record since 1998.

Penicheiro had the record for the most assists by a rookie in WNBA history with 224. With 12 games left in her rookie season, Clark passed the record and now has 232 assists on the year.

Following the rookie's historic feat, Clark took to social media to express her excitement about the WNBA's return from the 2024 Olympic break.

She posted a few pictures of her in-game action with the caption, "Fev Show Is Back."

Her former teammate with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Gabbie Marshall, then responded to the post, sharing high praise for the Fever rookie.

"Back n better than everrrr," Marshall said. "Always proud of you 22."

Clark finished the game with 23 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Her performance boosted her average stats for the season, which are currently 17.8 points and 8.3 assists per game.

She's helped the Fever win back-to-back games after dominating the Seattle Storm on Sunday with a 92-75 victory.
