Deion Sanders improved on the Colorado Buffaloes record from 2022, but not by much. Sanders led Colorado to a 4-8 record after the team finished with just one win in 2022. The Buffaloes have not been to a bowl game since 2020.

Courtesy of BetOnline, odds were released on Monday for the college head coach who was most likely to be fired first this season. BetOnline featured names like Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier, Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman, and Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal.

Coach Prime had 50-1 odds to be the first head coach fired this season. Here is how Colorado's schedule looks:

Aug. 29: vs. North Dakota State Bison
    Sept. 7: at Nebraska Cornhuskers
Sept. 14: at Colorado State Rams
    Sept. 21: vs. Baylor Bears
    Sept. 28: at UCF Knights
Oct. 12: vs. Kansas State Wildcats
    Oct. 19: at Arizona Wildcats
    Oct. 26: vs. Cincinnati Bearcats
Nov. 9: at Texas Tech Red Raiders
    Nov. 16: vs. Utah Utes
    Nov. 23: at Kansas Jayhawks
Nov. 29: vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Colorado does not have the most straightforward game for its season opener. North Dakota State is historically one of the best FCS teams in the country. The Bison have won 17 FCS national championships.

Then, Sanders will have to travel to Nebraska before an in-state rivalry game with Colorado State. Last season, the Rams took Colorado to overtime. The team returns home to face Baylor before taking on UCF on the road. The Knights added former Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson via the transfer portal this offseason.

Colorado's second half of the season includes matchups with Kansas State, Arizona, Cincinnati, Texas Tech, Utah, Kansas, and Oklahoma State.

The Buffaloes got off to a 3-1 start last season before conference play. After their Pac-12 schedule kicked in, Colorado won one more game the whole season.

Colorado faces North Dakota State at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
