The Miami Marlins will play Game Two of their three-game home series with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. Miami is looking to bounce back after losing last night’s game 9-6 and play the spoiler role to a D-backs team in a tight National League wild-card race.

Arizona currently holds the second N.L. wild-card spot by three games. The San Diego Padres are in front of them and the Atlanta Braves are not far behind.

As for pitching matchups, southpaw pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (1-0, 5.06 ERA) will get the start for the D-backs for the third time this season. His last outing came last week on Wednesday, Aug. 14 against the Colorado Rockies, when he went five innings allowing three earned runs on six hits.

Rodriguez’s counterpart will be Marlins right-handed Edward Cabrera (2-4, 5.76 ERA). He will make his 14th start of the season. His last outing came against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday when he gave up six earned runs in four innings pitched.
