Kirk Herbstreit Set For Huge Back-To-Back in Week 1

The 2024 college football season is beginning on Week 0, with Florida State and Georgia Tech facing off in Dublin, Ireland. There are a few other Week 0 games, although Hawai'i and Delaware State's contest is in danger after a travel debacle .

However, Week 1 has a ton of must-watch games, including Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame, Clemson vs. Georgia and USC vs. LSU (in Las Vegas).

Kirk Herbstreit is not a stranger to calling big games, and he was announced as a broadcast for a pair of big games on back-to-back days for Week 1, per Matt Fortuna.

"Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe will have the call on ABC for Notre Dame-Texas A&M next Saturday, Aug. 31. Herbstreit, Rowe and Rece Davis will call LSU-USC on ESPN the following night in Las Vegas."

Texas A&M and Notre Dame play each other on August 31 in College Station in a nighttime clash.

Then, Herbstreit and Holly Rowe will travel to Las Vegas to see the Trojans and Tigers play at Allegiant Stadium in another evening game.

It will be a big weekend for Herbstreit and company, but it's definitely not something new for one of the top voices in college football.

Week 1 of the college football season officially ends on Labor Day with a game between Florida State and Boston College.
