Drug Test? Olympic Officials Made Stephen Curry Do What?

Although Stephen Curry's 2024 Paris Olympics campaign started slowly, the point guard unleashed his Golden State Warriors production in the final two games. Curry's two-game explosion influenced the Olympic officials to drug test the Warriors guard, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Edwards.

Edwards and Durant participated in the Fanatics Fest in New York from Aug. 16 to Aug. 18. Former NBA guard Jalen Rose interviewed the two gold medalists. After beating France for the gold medal, Edwards revealed they couldn't celebrate in the locker room.

"We couldn't even really celebrate in the locker room, for real, because me, him, and Steph had to take like a drug test or something," Edwards said .

Drug testing Durant after his last game was an odd choice. Perhaps it made more sense to test for PEDs following Team USA's first victory over Serbia, where Durant shot a 5-5 three-point shooting mark.

Nonetheless, the Olympic officials found nothing incriminating from Durant, Edwards, and Curry.

Unlike Durant, Curry's perfomances in the semifinals and gold medal game understtandably had Olmypic officials eyebrows raised. Rose agreeed with the suggestion. "It's only right they gave Steph one the way he closed that deal," Rose said. "That was crazy."

Curry scored 60 points in his last two games at an otherworldly 90 percent true shooting and a 17-26 three-point shooting mark. The four-time NBA champion turned back the clock to catapault Team USA to its fifth consectuive gold medal victory.

In what's likely Curry's last game with Team USA, the Warriors point guard made it one for the ages.
