At the moment, the Rookie of the Year title is widely considered a two-woman race between Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky. Clark still remains the favorite to bag the coveted individual title — as she has all season long — but Reese has firmly established herself as a real threat to the award.

One particular statistic proves, however, that the race might not be as close as some folks believe. According to StatMamba on X, formerly Twitter, Clark far outpaces Reese and the rest of the pack in terms of 20-point games this season.

“Caitlin Clark has the sixth most 20-point games in the entire WNBA this season. She has more than all other rookies combined ," read the tweet.

At the moment, Clark leads all rookies in scoring with 17.8 points per game. Reese, on the other hand, averages 13.6 points per contest. Importantly, Reese leads the league in rebounding at 12.3 per game. Meantime, Clark leads the league in assists with 8.3 per game.

Scoring isn’t the be-all and end-all of the Rookie of the Year race, but the fact that Clark has a staggering lead over Reese and the rest of her WNBA peers likely will play a role in voting.
