Alex Rodriguez Turns Heads With Cryptic Post After Ex Jennifer Lopez's Divorce Filing

Alex Rodriguez is adding to the drama surrounding Jennifer Lopez's divorce filing from Ben Affleck.

After months of rumors that their marriage was on the rocks, Lopez filed for divorce on the second anniversary of the couple's wedding ceremony in Georgia. Lopez listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024.

Rodriguez, who was previously engaged to Lopez, stirred speculation with a cryptic social media post in the hours after the filing was first reported. Rodriguez took to his Instagram stories to re-share an image of a quote about making important decisions.

“You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction," the quote read.

Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and got engaged two years later, but announced their separation in 2021 before walking the aisle together.

Rodriguez has shared some kind words about Lopez in the past. Page Six reported in 2022 that he recalled their relationship was a "good experience" and had some kind words for the actress's children.

“I wish her and the children, who are smart, and beautiful and wonderful — I wish them the very best,” the former Yankees star said of Lopez's children, Emme and Maximilian.

Rodriguez has not made any direct statement on Lopez's divorce filing.
