Did Julius Randle Improve in NBA 2K25?

While the NBA season doesn't start until Oct. 22, the NBA 2K season looms as players receive their overall ratings and game modes are discussed. Recently, NBA 2K released its top 100 overall ratings for NBA 2K25. The New York Knicks loaded their roster with talent following the 2024 postseason. Of the deep roster, Julius Randle is among the higher-rated players of the NBA 2K25 player models.

Randle had an opportunity during the 2023-24 season to boost his NBA 2K ratings, but injuries cost the All-Star 36 games. On NBA 2K24's release date, Randle started with an 86 overall rating. However, due to the lack of games and slight dip statistically, NBA 2K slid Randle to an 85.

Only six other players share Randle's overall rating. Khris Middleton, Bradley Beal, and Rudy Gobert highlight the list of players.

Middleton and Beal also experienced a myriad of injuries, keeping them from performing at a significant level. Regarding Gobert, he's fresh off a Defensive Player of the Year award, but his limited offense questions how he ranks so highly in a game more known for offensive features than defensive.

Nonetheless, rehabbing his shoulder and keeping himself in a healthy mental space, at least regarding his temperament for Jalen Brunson as the Knicks' team captain and central star, Randle is prime for a successful year. Brunson's emergence as the Knicks' "Batman" makes for an easier existence for Randle in the highly scrutinized franchise.

Randle's efficiency metrics could increase with Brunson leading the offense.

NBA 2K25's ratings aren't permanent, as the player rating team updates periodically. Ultimately, Rande has a chance to move up the video game ranks as the Knicks look to do the same in real life.
