UCLA football is set to embark on an extensive travel schedule in its inaugural season in the Big Ten, covering a staggering 22,134 miles for six road games.

This distance is nearly 89% of the Earth's circumference, highlighting the significant shift from their previous Pac-12 commitments.

The Bruins will have the longest travel itinerary among power conference teams, far surpassing their California rival, UC Berkeley, which will log around 20,720 miles in its first season in the ACC.

The total circumference of the Earth is 24,901 miles, making UCLA's travel nearly a full circumnavigation.

This extensive travel is a direct result of the recent conference realignment, which has left many fans nostalgic for the Pac-12.

Previously, teams were primarily located in the western United States, but now UCLA will be crisscrossing the country to face opponents in states like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nebraska.

The Bruins' season kicks off with trips to Hawaii and LSU, adding to their already hefty travel miles.

Additional games against Penn State, Rutgers, Nebraska, and Washington will further increase their travel burden, making it challenging for families to attend games without long journeys.

This new reality comes with the territory of leaving a long-standing conference, and both players and fans will need to adjust to the demands of the Big Ten schedule.

With the addition of UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington, the Big Ten now features 18 teams, prompting discussions about a potential rebranding of the conference.
