Bills' Sean McDermott Gives Update On Injured Players

The preseason has not been kind to the Buffalo Bills when it comes to injuries. Following the team's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills had multiple players added to their injury report with projected week-to-week recoveries.

With the regular-season just over two weeks away, it is still up in the air if the teams' many injured players will be able to return for Week 1. However, head coach Sean McDermott seems to be confident that the team will get some of their key players back in time for the start of the regular-season.

"I think all of them are going to be close," McDermott said. "For me to say which ones, you know, are going to get back sooner, would be hard at this point."

Some of the Bills' most substantial recent injuries include receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Curtis Samuel, who are missing time with neck and toe injuries respectively. McDermott was most optimistic when speaking about the two of them specifically.

"I feel like those two, from what I've heard so far, have a real good chance of being back, just not committing to it yet," said McDermott.

McDermott made it clear that the only player he can rule out for the team's first matchup is linebacker Matt Milano.

Whether or not any of the Bills' current injured players are active for the regular-season opener may not become clear until the week or day of the game itself. The Bills take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 on Sept. 8.
