Caitlin Clark, Fever Expected To Get Major Boost For Lynx Game

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will be looking to keep their hot streak alive on Saturday when they take on the Minnesota Lynx. The Fever are riding a two-game winning streak since after the month-long mid-season break on account of the Paris Olympics, and they will want to make it three in a row against the Lynx on Saturday.

The good news for Clark and Co. is that it appears that they're about to get a major boost ahead of the Minnesota matchup. This comes in the form of 6-foot-4 center Temi Fagbenle potentially returning from a lengthy injury spell on the sidelines.

The Fever announced on Friday that Fagbenle, who has been out of action for close to two months now due to a lingering right thumb injury, is probable to play on Saturday.

Fagbenle isn't exactly a superstar, but she has been a crucial piece for Indiana in the 11 games she's played prior to her injury. During that span, the 31-year-old put up averages of 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per contest.

There's no denying that Clark has been doing a lot of heavy lifting for Indiana of late, and the highly-anticipated return of Fagbenle to the lineup should serve as a major boost for the rookie sensation and the rest of the squad at this point in the season.
