McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has issued a warning to Red Bull following Lando Norris's impressive victory at the Dutch Grand Prix.

He told Sky Sports F1 :

"The update worked but we need to keep our feet on the ground with how competitive Formula 1 is. We can't assume that will be a repeat every weekend but I hope we do it a few more times. We're getting closer. We've got a long way to go. It's very exciting. We have a fast car.

"We have some more fun stuff coming for Monza. It's a different type of track with high downforce. The Red Bull was fast in the quick stuff."

Norris dominated the race at Zandvoort, leading for most of the 72 laps and finishing about 20 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen, who came in second.

Norris's strong performance came after he secured pole position, while his teammate Oscar Piastri narrowly missed out on a podium finish, finishing just behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Despite this, McLaren managed to close the gap to Red Bull in the Constructors' Championship, reducing their deficit from 42 points to 30.

While Red Bull faced challenges with their car setup, Verstappen still put up a solid fight early in the race. Sergio Perez finished sixth, trailing Carlos Sainz of Ferrari by seven seconds.

McLaren has successfully introduced performance upgrades to their car, which was evident in their strong showing in Zandvoort.

In contrast, Red Bull and Ferrari continue to struggle with setup issues. Brown emphasized the need for his team to stay grounded after their victory while hinting at more upgrades for the upcoming Monza race.

Team principal Andrea Stella is focused on maximizing performance for future races, aiming to maintain the momentum of competing with Red Bull.

The team is determined to keep improving and hopes that their upgrades will be effective across different track types.

"Let's see if it's enough to be the best car at every venue with the upgrades. We keep going. There is not much we can do other than maximizing every single event and adding performance to the car. I think we are in a strong trend. We should believe in it. We are determined and give our best. But we are fighting Red Bull who have been dominant."
