The college football season began with Florida State losing to Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland. The game had all kinds of eyeballs, especially given the international aspect of it all.

Former NFL punter and current TV personality Pat McAfee brought his crew to Ireland for the game. As such, McAfee went viral for drinking Guinness during an interview with Nick Saban on live television, although the show was being held at a pub in Ireland.

On the other hand, some took exception to McAfee's actions, including former NFL quarterback coach Quincy Avery.

Avery wrote on X, "No one thinks it's wild someone can get hammered drunk on ESPN & everyone act like it's cool?"

Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf also commented on Avery's post and had a wild accusation about McAfee.

"$85 million bro, he**, he’s high 80% of the time on his tv show it’s said!!"

This is a big claim from Leaf, but it might not be all that surprising, given McAfee's comments previously.

McAfee also revealed that they had brought edibles to Ireland, per the Daily Mail.

"When you're flying international, you cannot land into different countries with edibles or weed," McAfee said. "AJ as a friend of mine had bought a bunch of edibles...It is similar to my trip to London from Indianapolis when I had 13 edibles. Last night was a very similar situation. AJ and I were on about 100mg each."

It is quite the claim from Ryan Leaf, whose beef with McAfee has been well-documented recently, including calling McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit "narcissists."

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if Leaf's claim is true, but it certainly is something to keep an eye on.
