The WNBA has dropped its winners for the Eastern and Western Conference Player of the Week, and this time, the rookie from the Indiana Fever took home the trophy.

Caitlin Clark has officially been named the Week 9 Eastern Conference Player of the Week. The star rookie averaged 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game.

Indiana has won three of its last four games, recently coming off an 84-79 victory over the Atlanta Dream on the road.

Despite suffering a brutal loss to the Lynx in Minnesota, the Fever have faired well against teams above .500, beating both the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm before their win against Atlanta.

Clark hasn't just been performing at a high level. She's producing solid numbers with improved efficiency. The Fever rookie shot 50% from the field against the Mercury, 47.4% against the Storm, and 42.9% against Atlanta.

With her numbers from Week 9, Clark bumped her averages for the season, currently posting 18.0 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game.

She has the Fever in playoff contention for the first time since 2016 and has already helped Indiana attain more wins this year than they had last season.

The Fever currently stand as the No. 7 team in the WNBA rankings with a 14-16 record.
