Kentucky fans have sold out season tickets once again for the 2024 football season. UK announced this on Wednesday. Also in the announcement, the amount of tickets purchased are a school record with over 40,800 season tickets sold for this season, which makes 600 more tickets sold than last season, when it was also a sell-out.

In addition to that, all 6,500 student ticket passes have sold out as well. Fans are very excited for the upcoming season, and you can tell by the record amount of season tickets sold ahead of the season-opener on Saturday against Southern Miss. The over 40,800 season tickets sold marks a new record for the Stoops era, which goes back to 2013. The broken record also counts the renovation of Kroger Field that happened in 2015, which before was called Commonwealth Stadium. Mark Stoops even talked about the excitement from fans heading into the season during his press conference on Monday, saying, "We feel that passion and energy. We certainly feel it in the stadium."

Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart also feels the energy and excitement of the fan base, and he acknowledged that in a press release about the number of season tickets sold. "We are energized by the Big Blue Nation and thankful to our great fans for their support as we get ready for the upcoming season," Barnhart said. "Coach Stoops and the team love the BBN, the support they give us and the difference they make in Kroger Field. We look forward to Football Time in the Bluegrass."

Football is here, BBN. The Wildcats will take the field on Saturday night inside Kroger Field against Southern Miss. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
