Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever’s Peculiar Handshake Caught on Camera

Even though Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost 90-80 to the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, August 24, the team still displayed some lighthearted moments.

The Fever have been in the spotlight all season, thanks to their rookie superstar, who was the No. 1 overall pick in April's 2024 WNBA draft.

Since her addition, the team's popularity has skyrocketed, with ticket and merchandise sales exploding through the roof. In fact, other WNBA teams have moved some of their home games against the Fever to bigger arenas to accommodate the high demand to watch Clark.

In the game against Minnesota, Clark scored 23 points, with Kelsey Mitchell adding 21. The Fever started slowly but fought back and was only down by one point at halftime. However, after the break, the Lynx took control and finished on top. Napheesa Collier's 31 points for Minnesota made all the difference.

Before making their way toward the Lynx center court logo, Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, NaLyssa Smith, Katie Lou Samuelson and Aliyah Boston wanted to have a little fun.

Instead of a usual team huddle, they performed a synchronized group handshake .

Clark and Mitchell have been a dynamic duo this season. Mitchell is currently averaging 18.2 points per game, just slightly ahead of Clark, who is averaging 18.0 points.

Indiana is currently in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 14-16 record. They have already exceeded last season's win total of 13 with three weeks remaining in the WNBA regular season.

The Indiana Fever will play its next game on Wednesday, August 28 against the Connecticut Sun.
