    Miami Marlins Look to Go Back-to-Back Over Colorado Rockies

    The Miami Marlins (48-84) erased a six-run deficit on Tuesday to beat the Colorado Rockies (49-84) 9-8. With game three of the series on Wednesday, the Marlins are looking to go back-to-back over the Rockies and climb out of the National League cellar.

    The Marlins are sending rookie Max Meyer (3-3, 5.44 ERA) to the mound on Wednesday. In his last start, Meyer allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two in six innings. Meyer will be making his sixth start since being recalled from Triple-A. He has allowed three or more earned runs in all six starts.

    The Rockies will counter with Kyle Freeland (3-6, 5.70 ERA). In his last start, Freeland allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in 6 2/3 innings. Freeland has performed much better at Coors Field this season than he has on the road. In seven home starts, Freeland has a 3.86 ERA across 37 1/3 innings.
