Bills Move A 'Good Opportunity' For QB

The Buffalo Bills were content with their quarterback room, which included Josh Allen as the starter and Mitch Trubisky as the backup.

But as we know in the NFL, injuries can happen at any time, and with Trubisky's knee injury suffered in preseason, putting his short-term availability in doubt, Buffalo needed another quarterback.

Enter Mike White . Recently released by the Miami Dolphins, White revealed that he wasn't on the couch too long before general manager Brandon Beane was on the phone and a deal was getting done.

And White revealed why he decided to go to the Bills.

"Just talking to [Brandon] Beane and even pulled Josh [Allen] into it and Joe [Brady] just honestly seeing this place from afar too for all these years contributed," White said . "I thought it was a good opportunity, all you hear about is the locker and the culture and stuff like that so I knew that would be cool to be a part of. I thought it was a good opportunity, and I'm grateful for it and excited to be here.”

White's stats in his three years in the league don't jump off the page (2,219 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, and a 2-5 record), but what the Bills likely would have honed it on was White's starts in the league.

They aren't acquiring a rookie with no skins on the wall; White has at least been in NFL action, so it won't be anything new to him to step in if needed.

Of course, Bills Mafia hopes it doesn't come to that. With White stating he's going through a "crash course" learning Joe Brady's offense, he's trying his best to get up to speed quickly so he can take advantage of this "good opportunity" when/if it comes.
