Baker Mayfield, Todd Bowles Disrespected in QB-Coach Duo Rankings

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to make the playoffs and beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card this past season, and lot of that had to do with the great play from Baker Mayfield, as well as the coaching of Todd Bowles.

In a recent article by Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports , he ranks who he believes are the top 10 quarterback-coach duos in the NFL, and he does not have the Bucs duo of Baker and Bowles on his list.

The pair were able to make the playoffs in their very first season together, so one would think that would warrant them a bit more respect. ... with the understanding that the Chiefs tandem of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid belongs on top.

Mayfield had the best season of his career in his first year with the Bucs, finishing with 4000 passing yards and 28 touchdowns. To have that kind of a season in his first season with a new team doesn't just speak to Mayfield's skill, but also Bowles' coaching.

He has led the Chiefs to three straight NFC South titles, and he does not plan on stopping this season. He and Mayfield be looking to build on their success in 2023 and prove this ranking wrong.
