The Miami Marlins (49-85) are just 0.5 games back of 14th place in the National League at the time of writing. With 28 games left in the season, climbing out of the cellar is not out of the question. Playoff contention, however, has been out of the question for quite some time now.

The Marlins are fully preparing for the 2025 season, with less than a month to go in 2024. So how have the Marlins' top prospects performed over the last week? To find out, let's take a trip down on the farm.

    (Rankings per MLB Pipeline )

Thomas White (#1 Prospect; #45 in MLB)

White continues to deal for the High-A Beloit Sky Carp. Starting one game over the last week, White pitched five innings for the seventh consecutive start. He allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks while striking out seven. His ERA at High-A this season has now lowered to 2.37 across 57 innings in 12 starts with 69 strikeouts and a 1.12 WHIP.

At this point, it looks as if White will finish the 2024 season in High-A, strictly because of his age. At only 19, the Marlins have no reason to rush White through the minors, and he can start fresh with the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos in 2025.

Noble Meyer (#2 Prospect; #74 in MLB)

While White has been magnificent for the Sky Carp, Meyer has struggled to find his footing. He has, however, lowered his ERA in each of his last three starts.

White made one start over the last week, pitching four innings and allowing two earned runs on four hits, four walks, and one hit batter while striking out four. He has lowered his High-A ERA to 5.55 across 35 2/3 innings in 10 games with 35 strikeouts and a 1.49 WHIP.
