Richie Incognito Calls Maxx Crosby 'Definition of A Raider'

Earlier this week, former Las Vegas Raiders ' offensive lineman Richie Incognito appeared on the ' Games With Names ' podcast. The podcast is hosted by former NFL star Julian Edelman.

On the podcast, Incognito was asked about his former teammate, Maxx Crosby.

"Maxx Crosby, that guy is the definition of a Raider," said Incognito. "You saw him his rookie year, and you were just like, 'what are they thinking' this guy's not big, not very fast, he's just kind of lanky'."

The reasons Incognito listed there are likely some of the same reasons Crosby ended up falling all the way into the fourth-round, where the Raiders were able to draft him back in 2019.

However, what's made Crosby as much of a star as he is today is his grit and motor. Since entering the league, Crosby has been one of the hardest workers in the franchise, and his relentless motor has turned him into one of the best edge rushers in the sport.

"Watching him train, watching him take care of his body, he's all-in, he's not taken a second off to get better," Incognito said. "To see him transition from a guy to the guy, and watch him bring energy in practice and just wreck a practice."

Incognito talks about the dedication Crosby puts into his craft, and he's not lying. Crosby really never takes a second off, and he was so dominant in practice earlier this year that head coach Antonio Pierce had to take him off the field to give his offense a chance.

Incognito spent the past two years of his career with the Raiders, so he got a chance to witness Crosby in action when he first entered the league. He spoke a bit about that during his interview as well:

"I'm coaching the O-line and I'm just sitting back laughing, like, they'll come to me and be like, what should I do on that one?" Incognito said. "I'm like, good luck brother."

Crosby has quickly become a fan favorite among Raider nation, and it's no secret why. He gives 100% effort all the time , and that's turned him into one of the best defenders in the league, as Incognito claims.
