College football is finally back in full force and the “College GameDay” crew was ready bright and early from the Texas A&M Aggies campus in College Station. It’s quite the scene switch from Week Zero when the show took place in Dublin, Ireland, as this is their first show of the year in front of an iconic American football stadium.

Kirk Herbstreit didn’t waste any time pointing out the uniqueness of this venue naming Kyle Field his choice for the prettiest stadium in the country.

“In an era of renovations, to get a shot at Kyle Field, that’s the prettiest, cleanest stadium I think there is in the country," he said. "That is just magnificent. Wow!”

Kyle Field is already one of the biggest stadiums in the country which expanded its seating capacity to more than 102,000 during a two-year renovation period in 2014-15. It’s been the home of the Aggies since 1905, and the renovations that took place a decade ago gave it new life.

This is only the second stop on the "College Gameday" tour and the Aggie Maroon already has Kirk Herbstreit’s attention. If the Aggies can impress Herbstreit with their play on the field against the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, that might make the legend of this venue even greater.

The No. 22 Aggies kick off against the Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. ET at the home of the 12th Man in College Station.
