ESPN’s Lee Corso Sparks Outrage in College Station With Pro-Texas Pick

After sitting out the college football season opener in Dublin, Ireland, Lee Corso came out swinging during his first “College GameDay” appearance of the year.

Corso made waves in College Station, home of the Texas A&M Aggies, when he threw up a “hook ‘em horns” hands gesture and declared the Texas Longhorns as his national championship pick to a deafening chorus of boos.

Within moments, Corso was getting put on blast on social media for his daring prognostication, but some admired his boldness to do so in enemy territory.

“Saying it IN college station is nasty work,” @josephmanero said .

To Corso's point, the Longhorns have a favorable 2024 schedule. They don't have to play Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss or Tennessee, and of all the teams in the SEC, they likely have the easiest path to the national championship game.
