The Miami Marlins (49-86) do not have much to be happy about when it comes to the 2024 season. But one thing they could be happy about is surpassing 50 wins on the season with a victory over the San Francisco Giants (68-68) on Saturday.

The Marlins will turn to Edward Cabrera (2-6, 5.60 ERA) on Saturday. In his last start, Cabrera allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight in 5 1/3 innings. While 2024 has been a season to forget for Cabrera, August has been his best month this season. He has pitched to a 3.95 ERA across 27 1/3 innings in five starts with 25 strikeouts.

Here is how the Marlins will line up on Saturday:

    1.) 2B Connor Norby
    2.) LF Jesus Sanchez
    3.) DH Jake Burger
    4.) CF Kyle Stowers
    5.) 3B Jonah Bride
    6.) SS Otto Lopez
    7.) RF Griffin Conine
    8.) 1B David Hensley
    9.) C Ali Sanchez

    SP Edward Cabrera

The Giants will counter with rookie Mason Black (0-1, 8.79 ERA). In his last start, Black allowed four earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two in 2 2/3 innings. This will be Black's first Major League game since May 23rd.

Here is how the Giants will line up on Saturday:

    1.) CF Mike Yastrzemski
    2.) 1B Mark Canha
    3.) LF Heliot Ramos
    4.) 3B Matt Chapman
    5.) DH Michael Conforto
    6.) SS Tyler Fitzgerald
    7.) C Patrick Bailey
    8.) RF Jerar Encarnacion
    9.) 2B Brett Wisely

    SP Mason Black

    How to Watch

The first pitch for Saturday's game is scheduled for 9:05 PM EST. The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Florida and NBC Sports Bay Area.

Marlins fans can listen to the game on FOX Sports 940AM (WINZ) or WAQI 710.
