USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson potentially made the catch of the year against LSU on Sunday, and it's only Week 1.

Hudson got behind a pair of LSU defenders and went up with one hand, snagging the ball in a mindblowing show of athleticism.

Hudson appeared to bobble the ball a little but officials reviewed the play and confirmed the 24-yard gain.

"I know Odell Beckham played for LSU but that was OBJ-esque right there," ESPN play-by-play man Rece Davis said.

Some considered it even better than Beckham's legendary snag from 2014.

"Catch rankings: 1. Kyron Hudson 2. Justin Jefferson against the Bills 3. Odell Beckham Jr," a fan wrote.

"Kyron Hudson with one of the most insane catches I’ve ever seen," another fan said.

The catch even got the attention of his former quarterback, Caleb Williams.

"10 you're insane," Williams wrote, tagging Hudson.

It's a quick way for Hudson to make an impression on a national stage. He entered the matchup with just 34 catches for 345 yards and five touchdowns through three seasons with USC.

Hudson is competing for reps in a talented wide receiver room that also includes Zachariah Branch, Duce Robinson and Makai Lemon.

The Trojans capitalized on the momentum from Hudson's big play, scoring a few plays later with running back Woody Marks bulldozing his way for a touchdown from 2 yards out.
