BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Monday morning. Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Donmoor Avenue around 2:45 a.m. after the caller asked for help. At the scene, they learned that shots had been fired before their arrival.

BATON ROUGE - A dog was rescued from an otherwise-empty home after it caught fire late Sunday night. The fire started shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday on Peerless Street off Plank Road.
