Former USC quarterback Caleb Williams sent a shoutout to his successor Miller Moss on Sunday night after he guided the Trojans to a thrilling 27-20 victory against LSU.

Moss completed 27 of 36 passes for 378 yards and a touchdown in the victory. That included some big plays down the stretch, including a beautiful connection with Kyron Hudson with less than a minute left that set up the game-winning touchdown.

Williams was watching closely and showed some love to Moss after the win on social media.

"Mossy you did yo thing playa," Williams wrote on X .

Calen Bullock, another former USC standout, also had a message for Moss after the big win.

"My trust is in 7 always waited his time patiently and answered every time his name was called," Bullock said in a message that was reposted by Williams.

Moss had big shoes to fill as the Trojans' starting quarterback. Williams set a high standard, passing for 8,170 yards, 72 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions during his two seasons with USC. He added 524 yards and 21 more touchdowns with his legs during his historic run with the Trojans, which included a Heisman trophy in 2022.

Moss, a redshirt junior, waited his turn behind Williams and others. But he's now capitalizing on his opportunity to shine.
