Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is on the cusp of setting two more WNBA records before the 2024 season ends.

Clark has already set plenty of records this campaign, including the first-ever triple-double by a rookie, which she achieved on July 6 against the New York Liberty. She also owns the single-game assist record after dropping 19 dimes against the Dallas Wings on July 17.

Furthermore, the Fever guard is already the league leader in assists by a rookie. She also recently surpassed Tamika Catchings for the most points by a rookie in franchise history.

With seven games remaining in the regular season, however, Clark can further cement her name in the history books. According to StatMamba, the 23-year-old sharpshooter can still set the single-season rookie record in points and the WNBA record in assists.

However, achieving those feats won't be easy. Clark has already scored 617 points after dropping 28 on Sunday against the Wings. She is now 128 points away from surpassing Seimone Augustus' mark of 744 points set in 2006.

That means Clark will need to average 18.3 points in their remaining games to surpass that. On the season, she's putting up 18.4 points per game. Over their last seven games since returning from the break, however, she's scoring an average of 24.6.

As for the WNBA assists record, Clark needs 41 more to break the all-time single-season tally of Alyssa Thomas (316) set in 2023 . The former Iowa Hawkeyes star is leading the league with 8.4 assists per game.

By the looks of it, Clark has the assist milestone in the bag considering her current average. The scoring feat might be a little more difficult to accomplish, but it's not impossible.

That said, it will be interesting to see if Clark can reach those marks to cap off what has already been an incredible first year for her.
