Are Eagles in Right Mindset for Brazil Opener?

Whether people want to admit it or not, the Philadelphia Eagles don't look like a team with the right mindset to open up the 2024 campaign.

With a contest in Brazil against a playoff team like the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles could easily get up for a game like this - especially with so much to prove after their collapse at the end of the 2023 season.

The issue? The team appears to be more focused on the current travel plans than actually playing a game. Whether it has been Darius Slay, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, or others, the Eagles are not united in the mindset of going to Sao Poalo to win the game.

In fairness to them, air quality concerns and crime issues are a legit concern. For the league and organization to tell their players to not leave the hotel room isn't necessarily a good sign overall for the Eagles at all.

Still, the focus should be on winning Friday night against the Packers.

To this point, it looks like the Eagles are as distracted now as they were toward the end of the 2023 season.

And that's not good news for head coach Nick Sirianni or the rest of their roster in a make-or-break form.
