Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris stripped the franchise down to its bare bones and then turned the keys over to new general manager Adam Peters.

Peters alongside new coach Dan Quinn have embarked on a combined journey to rebuild the franchise from the ground up. They feel they have done a great job and will be put to the test in Week 1.

On a recent radio appearance with Grant & Danny on 106.7 The Fan in D.C ., Peters expresses his excitement for the upcoming season.

“I couldn’t be more excited,” said Peters. “I can’t believe it. It just felt like the blink of an eye that we’re here now.”

From the draft to this week seems like to flew by. They went from rebuilding to expectations of winning in just a few months.

“I am the most excited,” Peters continued, “but I think our fans should really, really be excited about this next week and what’s to come with this team…I am excited about our offense with Kliff, and the way he runs it, and the guys that are executing it.

“It’s going to be a really fun offense to watch. It’s going to be a fast offense. It’s going to put defenses in a bind with what we do.”

There are a lot of quality skill position players, but a lot rests on the shoulder of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The Commanders kick of their season this Sunday, Sept. 8 on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
