Alabama Freshman Phenom Ryan Williams Makes Major Announcement

If college football fans weren't familiar with five-star freshman receiver Ryan Williams before Saturday, they were certainly put on notice after the fact. He registered just two catches In Alabama's first game of the season against Western Kentucky, but those two catches happened to be 84 and 55-yard touchdowns.

Just a couple of days after his breakout showing, which also served as a welcome-to-college football moment for the 17-year-old, he and fellow five-star freshman Jaylen Mbakwe made an announcement on Monday.

As revealed in a social media post, the duo will be hosting a podcast called the "New Wave."

"The show will discuss life on and off the field as student athletes, and hosting conversations with former Alabama football legends and current stars," explained the show's first post.

With the two being expected to both be instant contributors to the program and future stars of the sport, it will certainly be quite the show.
