The college football season has progressed to Week 2 after featuring great individual performances last week.

One outstanding performance came from Travis Hunter, the versatile star of the Colorado Buffaloes. Hunter made seven catches for 132 yards and scored one touchdown as a wide receiver. Additionally, as a cornerback, he made three tackles and was not targeted much by the North Dakota State passing attack.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum was asked if there could be an argument for anyone other than Hunter to be labeled the best player in college football today. Finebaum doesn't think so, naming Hunter the best in the country.

"The answer to that question today is no," Finebaum said. "He is the best player in college football."

Hunter joins a unique list of two-way players, including Champ Bailey, Myles Jack, Jabrill Peppers and Charles Woodson, among others. It makes sense as his head coach, Deion Sanders, did not play offense in college but did play some offense in the NFL.

The main question is which position he has a brighter future in. Some believe it's cornerback because of his unique size, athleticism and ball-hawking ability. However, others think he could also become an elite receiver. Still, Finebaum is certain that he's the best player in college football.
